Dry Cleaning, the popular band whose debut album suddenly reached #4 in the UK and was voted #1 in the Rough Trade Annual Best of 2021, has released their long-awaited second album! Recorded in the same rural Welsh studio as their previous album, and once again featuring master producer John Parrish, the album is a jungle of surreal lyrics with heightened sensitivity to themes of family, money, politics, self-mutilation, and sensuality, as well as intense alternative rock anthems throughout the work. The band's influences from US New Wave to Alternative are played out in a minimalist post-punk sound, and the band's vocals, Florence Shaw's spoken word-schlock, are a perfect complement to the band's sound. The band's style is further evolved by vocalist Florence Shaw's combination of spoken word and sprechgesang.
