Since assuming the position of Music Director in 2018, Tadaaki Otaka and the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra have given numerous masterful performances. Since his inaugural performance of Bruckner's "No. 8," he has actively performed Bruckner's "No. 3" in 2020, followed by "No. 9" in February 2021, and Tadaaki Otaka, who has been devoted to this work since his teens, has been conducting it for the first time in his early 30s. He then decided to release his first CD with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, which "makes a delightful sound." Otaka has "devoted his whole life to this fateful piece. Each performance is full of sincerity, and is colored with a majestic and mysterious sound, inviting the listener to the gates of heaven. (C)RS
