The latest in the popular "Switched On" series of rare Stereolab recordings! Formed in the 1990s, Stereolab has been loved by music fans from all over the world with their wide range of music that encompasses krautrock, post-punk, pop music, lounge, post-rock, etc. In 2019, after a 10-year hiatus, the band will be back in full swing and will be releasing their first full-length album in over a decade. The band has released "PULSE OF THE EARLY BRAIN [SWITCHED ON VOLUME 5]" as the latest in their popular "Switched On" series, which compiles rare sound sources. Released under the double name of Warp Records and Duophonic UHF Disks, the album was remastered from the original tapes at Bo at Calyx in Berlin under the supervision of band member Tim Gaine.The work begins with two songs, "Simple Headphone Mind" and "Trippin' With The Birds," released in 1997 as the second collaboration with Nurse With Wound, a cult favorite among avant-garde music fans. The album also includes remixes by Outeka, collaborations with Soi-Disant, songs released as bonus tracks on the Japanese CD, songs released on limited edition sonosheets, demos, live recordings, unreleased tracks, and a total of 21 rare tracks. This album contains 21 tracks of rare sound sources.
