From the Artist
Make me an Angelis an experimental offset print. Each color plate was created on layers of transparencies similar to the process of screen printing. Each layer was then made into an offset lithographic plate and printed on a commercial offset press.
Each night of my residency [at Brandywine Workshop and Archives, Philadelphia], I would take the printed result of the day back to the apartment (provided by Brandywine) to work on the layers for the next color. The resulting print is a diptych on Arches paper.
The prints have found their way into a number of private and public collectionsand have been awarded in juried exhibitions.
My work provides me with a divining rod. Experimentation affords me the opportunity to discover something both unknown and remembered, beyond the trappings of my overactive habits of mind. I endeavor to process inner life and reconcile with a seemingly chaotic and sometimes senseless larger world. Combining analog and digital fragments, I assemble and reassemble until some kind of inner truth appears, however transitory and ephemeral.
