This compact Manfrotto 209 tabletop tripod is a no-nonsense tool, made of metal and steady enough to hold any reasonably-sized camera. This tripod has a standard 1/4” fitting that can mount a camera or a tripod head; a head allows aiming flexibility, but you can do without in a pinch.
