Description:
A lost masterpiece miraculously reissued and released on CD for the first time in the world. This is the only album by Walter Freitas, a little-known Brazilian musician, recorded in 1987. The varied rhythms, lyrics in the native Amazonian language, and Western melodies all come together to create a one-of-a-kind music that is full of creativity. This masterpiece, which has remained buried for more than 30 years despite its impact, has been revived under the supervision of the artist himself. The first time I heard this mystical music, it was an unforgettable shock, a true masterpiece. Like an alchemist of sound, he has created a unique jewel. Lost in the spiraling caverns of time, it has been reawakened and is now at its most luminous." (Jafael Jiménez: excerpt from the liner notes) In 1987, the Brazilian musician/composer/playwright/journalist Walter Freitas released his only album, "Tuyabae Qua".This is the world's first CD release of this mysterious and enigmatic work, which has never been known despite its wonderful content. The music of the Amazon, which is a unique and creative work that combines the varied rhythms, lyrics in the native Amazonian language, and Western melodies, is like a miracle or a magic trick, dazzling and captivating the listener. The 28-page booklet, which includes the complete booklet of the original LP released in 1987, is enclosed in the package. In addition, musician Jafael Jiménez, who loves this work and considers it a source of inspiration for his own music, has contributed liner notes for this reissue.
