An outstanding Regency mahogany dressing chest with distinctive ebony beading drawers. The wonderfully patinated top has superb original colour, it lifts to reveal an adjustable elevated mirror and various storage compartments. This mellow toned early 19th Century dressing chest is raised on turned and reeded legs which terminate with the original brass cupped castors. The chest stands well, is solid and beautifully made and in good condition, this piece has not been repolished as the mellow colour and original surface are part of the charm. This rare and unusual Regency chest would be an important, decorative and functional addition in any interior setting.
