Their surface is covered with collages of coloured glass fragments, suggesting unexpected moments of surprise and a boisterous festive mood of celebration. The coloured confetti elements are made of solid pigmented glass – a material commonly used to colour molten glass during the glass blowing process. They feature rock-like shapes, contrasting with the otherwise softly shaped bodies of hand blown glass. With their irregular edges, these fragments evoke the look of rough brushstrokes, transforming the act of attaching them into a form of painting. Each piece is unique.
