Description:
KIRINJI will graduate from its eight-year band structure at the end of 2020 and become a loosely connected, fluctuating musical group led by Takaki Horigome starting in 2021, and will release a three-song EP featuring the theme song "Bakusuru Heart" (feat. Awich) for "How to Repel a Pigeon," which will be released on August 27 (starring Tatsuya Fujiwara, distributed by Shochiku), the first film for which he has scored the music. For "Bakusuru Heart," the band collaborated with charismatic rapper Awich, who is known for his hip-hop style. The number is an exquisite fusion of lyrics reflecting the world where reality and fiction intersect as depicted in the movie and a hard rock sound, which is rare for KIRINJI. The coupling includes "Reunion," a song that was previously released on April 14, and whose lyrics describing the Corona disaster resonated with many listeners, and a vocal version by Takaki Horigome of the popular song "Koi no moto" sung by Kotringo during the band KIRINJI's days. The DVD of the limited first edition includes "Bakusuru Kokoro feat. Awich (Music Video)" and "Reunion (Music Video)".
