C. Hastalis (Agassiz, 1843) fossil shark tooth found in Belgium near Antwerp.
This was an apex predator, preying on large fish, marine mammals, and other oceanic creatures. Its robust teeth and jaw structure indicate it was highly adapted to capturing and consuming large prey. This ancient shark is believed to be an ancestor of the great white shark, carcharodon carcharias.
Its triangular shape, razor sharp edges are a testament to its predatory nature millions of years ago.
also known as: Giant Mako.
