The 8th Sendai International Music Competition, held in June 2022, was won by In June 2022, Ruo Jiaqing (China) won the first prize in the piano division of the 8th Sendai International Music Competition. We are proud to announce the arrival of a young talent from Japan who will be introduced to the world. Luo Jiaqing was born in 1999 in Hunan Province, China, and entered the middle school attached to Wuhan Music Academy in 2011, where he studied under Fu Yang. After graduation, she moved to the U.S. to study with Robert Shannon at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He is currently enrolled at the New England Conservatory of Music, studying with Dan Tai Song.He won the Young Artists World Piano Festival Concerto Competition in the U.S. (Minnesota) in 2013, and has since won numerous national and international competitions.In 2019, he will be a winner at the Arthur Dunn Competition and the Rudolf Serkin Competition (Oberlin). In the same year, he won the 4th prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Pianists, Beijing; in 2022, he won the first prize in the piano section of the 8th Sendai International Music Competition. She has given recitals in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other cities in China, and in 2015 was invited by the French Animato Society to perform at the Salle Cortot in Paris.In August 2016, he gave a recital at Fulkerson Recital Hall at Humboldt State University in California.
