Description:
Swedish symphonic metal band Elaine, featuring female vocalist Madeline, signs with Atomic Fire. They released an EP of acoustic arrangements of their own songs. A must-listen for fans of Epica and Nightwish! Elaine is a Swedish symphonic metal band formed in 2002 by female vocalist Madeline and guitarist Ricardo. The following year, in 2003, the band released their eponymous album. The band's popularity grew with their heavy sound, featuring female vocals and death vocals, a truly European style, and they signed a contract with Black Lodge Records in their native Sweden. In 2008, they released their third album "Dancing in Hell". Atomic Fire Records took notice of the girls. The new label was established by Markus Steiger, the founder of Nuclear Blast. The upcoming release on Atomic Fire is an EP titled "Acoustic in Hell," which, as the title suggests, is an acoustic arrangement of Elaine's previous songs. The inspiration for the EP came from an acoustic tour with Sonata Arctica. We tried not to lose the metal essence," Ricardo says, "but Elaine is still Elaine without the distortion guitars. Rather, the removal of all embellishments has allowed the melodies spun by Madeline to be laid bare, and the quality of the songs themselves has been brought to the fore. Atomic Fire continues to "discover" talented bands from around the world one after another. Elaine is one of them. Fans of Epica and Nightwish must listen to this album!
