This is a rare record of Masuko Ushioda (1942-2013), a pioneer in the Japanese violin world. She was praised by her teacher Szigeti as a "rare talent" and won second prize at the 3rd International Tchaikovsky Competition. He has performed with major orchestras around the world, and in Japan with the Saito Kinen Orchestra and the Mito Chamber Orchestra, where he served as concert mistress. The spirited Bartók, performed in 1985, and the Stravinsky, which shows the state of his later years, are also included in his repertoire. Stravinsky, who showed the boundaries of his later years.
