Description:
The three violin concertos on this album are all works by the young 19-year-old genius Mozart, but they are not inferior to the many violin concertos of the past and present. The "No. 3," known for the beauty of its emotion-filled second movement, the "No. 4," said to have been written for the Salzburg court violinist Antonio Brunetti, and the "No. 5," which incorporates the "Turkish taste" so popular in 18th century Europe, are all elegant and refined. The Oslo-born violinist Kraggerud played each piece with care and fluidity, introducing each piece. As a talented composer, Kraggerud composed all the cadenzas himself, which shows his strong love for Mozart. Naxos Japan
