Description:
Kraggerud is a violinist born in Oslo. He is a multi-talented artist who can be heard as a composer, arranger, and collaborator with jazz artists. In this concert, he will appear not with his usual Guarneri violin, but with the famous "Kreisler Bergonzi" (made around 1740), an instrument originally owned by Kreisler. This violin originally belonged to Kreisler, and Kraggerud plays the beloved little piece with strong sympathy and familiarity. He also succeeds in deepening our understanding of Kreisler through his own narration between the pieces, introducing interesting events in Kreisler's life and style, and "why Kreisler passed off his own work as a work of the past.
