The SPAX 8×450mm Delta Seal Countersunk FullThread screw is a German-made timber construction screw built for extra-deep connections through thick laminated timber, posts and bearers. The full-thread design grips along the entire shank for maximum hold in both members being joined. SPAX's 4CUT self-drilling point and ground thread serrations cut cleanly into timber and reduce splitting, even near board edges, while the SPAX T-STAR plus T-40 drive resists cam-out and gives full torque transfer when driving long fixings. Milling ribs under the countersunk head let it sit flush in timber and stop neatly on metal. The WIROX Delta Seal coating gives high corrosion resistance for exterior structural timber work, tested well beyond standard zinc plating. We recommend pre-drilling in dense hardwoods.
