The SPAX 10×360mm WIROX Washer Head screw is a German-made timber construction screw built for structural timber-to-timber fixing in pergolas, decking subframes and retaining walls. The partial-thread design lets the screw draw two timbers tightly together as the unthreaded shank pulls the join closed. SPAX's 4CUT self-drilling point and ground thread serrations cut cleanly into timber and reduce splitting, even near board edges, while the SPAX T-STAR plus T-50 drive resists cam-out and gives full torque transfer. The broad washer head spreads load and gives higher pull-through resistance, allowing wider screw spacing. The WIROX surface gives high corrosion protection, is free from chromium-VI, and outperforms conventional zinc plating for indoor and undercover timber work. We recommend pre-drilling in dense hardwoods.
