The Bataleon Surfer is one of the best powder specific snowboards on the market, and it now features a redesigned 'Powder Hull' tail. The directional freeride outline shape features a heavily setback stance and a narrow centre base section in the nose. Because the centre base is narrow you get loads of uplift in soft snow (think of the shape of the hull of a ship!). A medium camber and medium / soft flex help to create a super mellow, smooth ride and the ISOSPORT 7000 P-tex ‘Nano Speed S’ Sintered base is blisteringly fast.

Three-way Triax glass paired with Dual Radial Super Tubes and carbon stringers make the surfer nice and responsive and at the heart of the board is a seriously light 80/20 blend of Paulownia and poplar super ultra light wood core. All this tech adds up to a whopping £800, but man is it fun! Certainly not your quiver of one but totally a board you should have in your arsenal if you are going on a powder mission.
