This gorgeous lace blouse is a type of lace called Guipure, meaning the pattern is held together with bars rather than netting.

It is difficult for me to say whether this is handmade lace or machine stitched.

You have probably heard of Schiffli lace, which is also known by its not so beautiful name: chemical lace.

Fits an approximate size small, and totally wearable, though as with any old garment, it should be worn with care. Measurements, taken laid flat: 17 1/2" armpit to armpit, 14" waist, 20 1/2" length in front, 16" length in back.

I adore the cut and shape of this blouse. It would be lovely for a wedding. It is not a true white, but more of an ecru.
