Position Work Premium Tissue Fabric
Peach · Lavender · Light Blue · 44" Width · 120 GSM · Poly Base
M'Foks Position Work Premium Tissue is a lightweight polyester tissue fabric finished with a delicate position work design — embellishment placed in a defined zone rather than repeated across the full width. The tissue construction gives the fabric a crisp, semi-translucent body with a natural lustre that reads as understated and premium rather than heavy or ornate.
The pastel palette — peach, lavender, and light blue — is specifically curated for the current trend of minimal, tonal, and soft-hued ethnic wear. These shades work equally for menswear and womenswear, and are especially in demand for couples co-ord and family occasion sets where a cohesive, refined look is the goal. The position work creates a focal design moment — at the hem, yoke, or border — without overwhelming the clean, minimal base.
At 120 grams per metre across a 44-inch width, the fabric has enough structure for a kurta body or jacket panel while remaining light enough for layered constructions and warm-weather occasion wear.

What garments work best with this fabric?
Menswear: kurta, Nehru collar shirt, indo-western jacket, bandhgala. Womenswear: A-line dress, anarkali, kurti, lehenga top, coord set. Couples co-ord: both partners' outfits from the same fabric in the same shade — the position work aligns on both garments for a matched, minimal look.
Why is it called "position work"?
Position work means the embellishment is placed in a specific zone (38 inches here), not repeated end to end. This gives the tailor control — place the work zone at the hem, yoke, or front panel depending on the garment design.
Does tissue fabric need a lining?
Yes, recommended. Tissue is semi-translucent — a thin inner lining (cotton voile or soft poly lining) in the same shade adds opacity and structure. For dupattas and stoles, no lining is needed.
How many metres for a couples co-ord set?
Men's kurta: 2.5–3 m. Women's dress or anarkali: 3–3.5 m. Full couples set: 5.5–6.5 m. Add 10% for position work layout adjustment.
Can both partners wear different shades from the same fabric?
Yes — a very popular styling choice. Peach + Lavender or Lavender + Light Blue are complementary pastel pairings that look coordinated without being identical. Order each shade separately.
Identify the 38-inch work zone before cutting. Place the work at the hem, yoke, or front panel depending on your design. Mark with chalk before cutting.
Tissue fabric is slippery. Pin to a cutting mat or use weights. Cut single layers for precision on positioned work panels.
Use a fine needle (70/10 or 75/11). Serge or zigzag all edges immediately — polyester tissue frays at cut edges.
Hand wash cold or gentle machine cycle in mesh bag. Mild detergent.
Hang in shade. Do not wring or tumble dry.
Low heat, synthetic setting, on reverse side only. Pressing cloth recommended over work zone.
⚠ Work width is 38" within the 44" total — plan all visible panels within this zone. Iron on reverse side only to protect the position work surface.
