This original 1950s Lotus pearl necklace consists of a double strand of delicate pinky-cream high quality faux pearls made from glass. The pearls get bigger in diameter as they travel towards the front of the necklace. The string is hand knotted on silk in between each pearl to keep its placement. The necklace closes with a box clasp that is decorated with an ellipse-shaped crystal surrounded by diamantes. The clasp is stamped with “Silver and Lotus”. Additionally, a sterling silver safety chain is attached for peace of mind.

Lotus pearls were widely recognized as amongst the best quality faux pearls during the middle of the last century and they were manufactured in Birmingham, England. Production ceased decades ago and Circa loves finding this brand as it is hard to tell apart from the real thing. The necklace is in fine vintage condition with no issues and has been looked after carefully with only very minimal wear noted in keeping with age. Will come gift boxed.
