"Ich habe zwei Jahrgänge des Weißweins probiert, angefangen mit dem 2019er La Salvación. Er stammt aus drei Parzellen – Arganza, Valtuille und Villafranca – und ist ausdrucksstark für die Sorte mit einer explosiven Nase. Er fermentierte in 500-Liter-Eichenfässern, wo er auf der Hefe bis zur nächsten Ernte reifte. Im Jahr 2020 ist nur die Parzelle in Arganza frischer, die vor etwa 15 Jahren von Mencía nach Godello umgepfropft wurde (aber die Wurzeln sind 100 Jahre alt). Trotz des Stils der Jahre fühlt sich dieser 2019 etwas runder und nussiger an als der wirklich hervorragende 2020, den ich daneben probiert habe. 1.800 Flaschen produziert. Abgefüllt wurde er im November 2020."

"I tasted two vintages of the white, starting with the 2019 La Salvación. It comes from three plots—Arganza, Valtuille and Villafranca—and is expressive of the variety, with an explosive nose. It fermented in 500-liter oak barrels, where it matured with the lees until the following harvest. In 2020 it's only from the plot in Arganza that is fresher, regrafted from Mencía to Godello some 15 years ago (but the roots are 100 years old). Despite the style of the years, this 2019 feels a little rounder and nuttier than the truly outstanding 2020 I tasted next to it. 1,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020."
