Ittoqqortoormiit is the name of the most Northern town on the east coast of Greenland. Less than 350 people are living here and like other towns and cities in Greenland, the Ittoqqortoormiit is isolated from other communities by hundreds of kilometers of ice and mountains. The only way to get there is either by boat or helicopter.
During a two-month photo project I sat up a photo blind on the sea ice to photograph these clever and very shy birds, and while waiting for days was cold, my effort paid off.
