The Kawai UST-7 is a highly regarded studio upright known for its durability, consistent performance, and warm, expressive tone. Built with Kawai's solid construction standards, the UST-7 features a sturdy institutional cabinet and a direct-blow action design-making it a favorite among music schools, teaching studios, and serious home musicians.

The soundboard is meticulously designed from Kawai with matched pieces of select solid spruce. With Kawai's "Drying/Re-moisturizing process", ten shaped spruce ribs are fastened to the soundboard in a curved press to create a permanent crown. The surfaces of the soundboard and ribs are protected with fine varnish that provides long-term protection while maintaining the flexibility necessity to produce full tonal resonance.

The UST-7 is equipped with four double-wheel, ball bearing casters for ease in transport. Originally designed to fit the needs of a a school and institution.

This instrument delivers a clear and balanced sound with excellent projection for its size. The satin oak finish offers a classic, natural aesthetic that suits home practice spaces, teaching studios, churches, and classrooms. This well-preserved piano plays nicely but has some cosmetic damage from transport and age. See photos for details. It is in very nice condition and ready to play.
