Watch has a  Rolex signed, hallmarked and  decorated inside screw down  back and an excellent 9K gold marked case.   There is an original screw down signed Rolex Oyster winding crown.  Watch is 33.5 diameter .

  This a Rare and quite uncommon Rolex Air- Giant in that it was released in the midst of World  War II along with the Rolex Air King , the Air Lion, and the Air-Tiger to honor the RAF pilots of the Battle of Britain who preferred the Rolex Oysters which they purchased on their own since they found them much more suited to the rigors of battle than the watches that were standard government issue at the time.  Hans  Wilsdorf  was so impressed  with the high regard that the pilots had for his watches that he wished to honor the daring and legendary pilots flying in the Battle of Britain.  The only one of the group of four that  is still in production today is the Air King as a perpetual,  thus making the Air-Giant rare and an excellent choice as an addition to one’s collection.  Brown croco strap.  You will feel very cool wearing this Rolex Air-Giant.
