Approx 2'8" x 4'8", this vintage Afghan tribal rug is hand-knotted in wool with a soft, medium-low pile and a beautifully useable size for smaller spaces. The field is laid out in a repeating hexagonal lattice, each compartment holding simple linear motifs, all drawn in charcoal and soft grey on a warm honey-beige ground. The borders carry small tribal star and flower motifs with tiny hits of orange, blue and red, giving just enough colour without losing the calm, neutral feel. It’s a great fit for Japandi, Scandi boho and contemporary cottage interiors where you want pattern and texture but a quieter palette.

Likely mid 20th century Afghan village work, the rug is in good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The pile is even with some light flattening and subtle colour variation, the fringes are worn and a little uneven, and there is minor rubbing and small imperfections along the selvedges, all shown in the photos and typical for an older handmade rug.
