"Remembering the Good Times" is in memory of family vacations to Umhlanga. These are some of my most precious memories with lots of laughter, playing hopscotch on the beach, collecting shells and rocks and looking for crabs at night. In grief, there comes a time when the good memories overshadow the long journey of suffering and grief you experience.

It's been over 9 years since I lost my mother and I'm finally gaining true perspective and seeing a road through the grief. This piece is in memory of the good times, fond memories of family vacations and the connections built that held us together in our long journey of loss.
