So many different sorts of whimsies to love, but I think these sort of architectural balls in cages are among my favorites. This substantially sized one has a nice dry patina, and is great both standing on end or laying horizontally, and lands at a nice mid-point between rustic and refined. Found in Maine, and with a good number of years on it for sure.

6 7/8" long x 1 5/8" wide and deep. Very good vintage condition, with a couple of tiny hairline cracks that don't go all the way through and some dryness to the wood, as pictured.
