A finely cast and hand-finished Japanese copper dish featuring a graceful bijin (often called a geisha) before a shoji screen with flowering prunus and a small vase of blooms. The relief is crisp with a deep, chocolate-brown patina and warm copper highlights from decades of handling. Reverse with simple recessed foot; no maker’s marks observed.

Honest age to the rim and surface with small scuffs and oxidation in recesses—decoratively superb. Size read from the tape: approximately 15 cm (about 5⅞") diameter. Lovely as a vide-poche, incense plate, or cabinet piece that layers beautifully with Japandi and wabi-sabi interiors.
