Osmo Rocket VX 🚀

Osmo Rocket VX takes the original Osmo Rocket rig for the Osmo Pocket 3 and 4 and gives it a new front design inspired by classic Sony VX camcorders. It keeps the same compact footprint, solid feel in the hand, and real-world usability, while introducing a front geometry designed for smoother, faster panning without frame interference.

🎥 Modular Handle System

One of the core features of Osmo Rocket VX is the same swappable handle system you know from Osmo Rocket. You can configure the rig depending on your shooting style, from a classic camcorder feel to a more tactical, side-grip layout.

• Top handle for a traditional camcorder grip and low-angle moves.
• Side handles that can be mounted in two different angles, horizontal or tilted at 45°, so you can choose the grip that feels more natural.
• You can use only the top handle for a classic camcorder feel, only the side handles for a more tactical grip, or mount all three handles together in the same setup when you want maximum stability.

Inner Sliding Tray ⚡️

A centered sliding tray keeps the Pocket 3 perfectly aligned. The spring lock prevents accidental movement, and the integrated hook-and-loop straps are designed specifically to secure the official Pocket battery grip for longer, uninterrupted shooting sessions.

Cold Shoe System

Osmo Rocket VX includes two cold shoes so you can build a complete, compact shooting kit around the Pocket 3.

• Front cold shoe for a microphone or compact light.
• Rear cold shoe designed for a phone mount, enabling full remote control of the Pocket 3 from your smartphone. This improves visibility, framing, and overall shooting control.

VX Front Design

The front shell of Osmo Rocket VX is shaped as a small tribute to the Sony VX era. The geometry is designed to allow faster panning and reduce the chances of the frame appearing during movement, especially in dynamic shots.

Magnetic Filters

Filters are mounted directly on the Osmo Pocket itself using a magnetic system. The rig is designed to leave enough clearance for this workflow, so you can keep using magnetic filters without interference from the frame.

• CPL to reduce reflections and boost contrast.
• Variable ND (2/32) for general exposure control in bright light.
• Black Mist 1/4 to soften highlights and add a cinematic glow.

You can swap filters quickly and keep the setup compact without adding extra bulk to the rig itself.

DJI Action Compatibility (3–6)

Osmo Rocket VX is not only for the Pocket 3. It also includes a dedicated tray specifically designed for DJI Action cameras from model 3 to model 6.

DJI Action Magnetic Tray

This tray is a separate module built around the dimensions of the DJI Action series. It uses a quick-release magnetic attachment, so you can swap cameras instantly without tools.

• Magnetic quick release for fast switching between Pocket 3 and DJI Action.
• Perfect fit for DJI Action 3, 4, 5, and 6.
• No wobble the tray locks in securely while staying easy to remove.

Osmo Rocket VX is also available in a Polar White Limited Edition. This experimental colorway brings a clean, modern white finish while staying connected to the vintage camcorder aesthetic.

• Lower screen brightness.
• Use reliable 64–128 GB Micro SD cards.
• Drop to 2.7K or 1080p when possible.
• Rotate the screen horizontally to improve airflow.

How to Avoid Frame Shadows

• Slightly zoom in if needed.
