This is one particularly nice T-Style. All the pieces just fell into place incredibly well on this one. A terrific Black Guard from Mario Guitars out of Nashville TN. This guitar weighs in at only 5lbs 9oz. With its Paulownia body; which is a great tone-wood for Fullerton/Tele Style guitars. It is in a sense a miracle wood, as the tree matures much sooner than Ash or Alder; letting all that excess moisture out without having to even wait a day. Never mind 40-50 years for your guitar to sound its absolute best. Paired with the one piece hand-carved 1/4" Sawn AAA Flame Maple neck and a set of Lollars famous hand-wound pickups. With the guitar sporting a Special T in the bridge position and a Charlie Christian Single Coil in the neck position. This guitar rings like a bell with great sustain for such a light and well balanced instrument. You can expect a fat 50's "Fullerton Style" Twang in spades without any harsh overtones in the bridge position and a beautiful slightly P-90 like tone in the Neck position from the CC pickup, but with added clarity and better note to note sting separation via the long blade, rather than six individual pole pieces. This instrument is set-up immaculately, with a nice low action of only 3 & 4 64ths of an inch High E to Low E. What more can you ask for?
