Story behind the product ~ These original Turkana Jugs have been hand-carved by the Turkana people,Kenya, entirely from sustainable African hardwood.They were originally used for storage and transportation of food items. Each jug has been used for years and may display repairs using traditional techniques in keeping with their original authenticity.

Some have lids, others do not. They are complete one off pieces.

Dimensions ~ All measurements are approximate. Every bowl has been individually hand carved from a single piece of wood, some will be higher, wider, lighter or darker. Images are a representation of the product only and below measurements are only a guideline.

Each piece has been intricately created by hand. If there are small flaws it is a sign and proof of human touch, making each and every piece unique with tiny little differences.
