A superb example of WWI trench art, this tall shell case has been masterfully reworked into a striking vase with a bold twisted design. Crafted from a 1917-dated British shell casing (clearly marked “R.L. 4.11.17”), it stands out with its dark patina and confident form.

The twisting body catches the light beautifully, lending movement and sculptural interest—an arresting standalone piece or a dramatic stem vase. The top edge has been scalloped by hand and the base is neatly tooled with geometric detailing.
