Noted as one of the most comfortable seating systems available, this is an all original circa 1970s 'Camaleonda' sectional sofa by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia with original tan leather, six seating elements with five backs and two arms (thirteen pieces in total), each section signed with early B&B Italia labels.

Designed by Mario Bellini in 1970 for C&B Italia, later produced after 1973 by B&B Italia after Piero Busnelli bought out Cassina and changed the name to B&B. This early production set from circa 1970s comes with celebrity provenance and a letter of provenance can be provided upon purchase.

The buttery soft leather has a very attractive light patina throughout, which provides a relaxed feel. The fading in areas which received more sunlight throughout the years give the color an interesting gradient of beige to oatmeal to tan furthering that laid-back vibe.

Collectors will always prefer an 'original' from early production years over later production examples or reproductions. For the Camaleonda, that would be the 1970s to 1980s era. In addition - and of course for true connoisseurs of vintage design, original leather - like this set - is much more desirable than reupholstered sets.

*This is a modular set with thirteen (13) total pieces and can be configured in many ways as each seating section can be placed wherever you desire and the arms and seat backs can be fixed to the seating elements where you want. You can configure as one large sectional or multiple sofas, loveseats / settee, lounge chairs and ottomans and more. CONDITON:

Good vintage condition with age related wear consistent to a well-cared for environment. The original leather has attractive light wear and patina throughout which provides a very casual / laid-back vibe to the leather. Throughout each section is varying amounts of sun fading to the color which gives a gradient look from beige to medium tan.
