My favorite find of the week--or two weeks it has been --for the first drawing of the mother cow alone! So good. Then that red salamander, and that daddy longlegs, and turtle, and skeleton, and the "snacs" [snakes] hatching and then fully grown. And especially the pair of mice, or cats , or ? --one consuming bread and coffee, and the other, healthier I presume is the implication, having milk and cereal! Pure joy throughout, done by a young Emil Gottlieb--with a card tucked in from a teacher (seems perhaps from Sunday school or similar) assigning him a verse to memorize about the importance of cleanliness in body and mind.  

9" x 6 1/8". 8 pages, 6 of them filled front and back (12 pages drawings), 2 pages blank at end. Plus covers. All in good condition.
