MAPPIN & WEBB “THE TIMES” is a  rare  model with a Sterling silver hallmarked  case for  Chester 1901.  This is a fine and well running  fully ruby jewelled movement which is signed Mappin & Webb as well as “The Times”.  The watch has a perfect white dial with black Roman numbers and black spade pointers, signed Mappin & Webb London,  and a seconds dial at number six position.  The case is 48 mm diameter and the watch is stem wound and pin set.  There is a sensuous feel to this watch no doubt due to the fine crafting.
