Description

Carol Torian is an artist and writer who grew up in rural North Carolina. Her work is influenced by nature, urban settings and social justice issues. She has always had a love affair with jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. Never Stop Looking Up is a reproduction of Carol’s abstract painting of the same name. The woman at the center of the painting has her face turned toward the sky with her eyes closed and chin slightly raised. The wind is on her face, and she is enveloped by a palette of neutral and vibrant color that flows into her, representing her thoughts. There are echoes of the future and the past. Hopes, dreams, insecurities, doubt. Her challenge is to not be overwhelmed by the negative, to embrace what may come. While staying true to herself and remaining open to possibility. Because everything is possible.
