The Mother Tree of Ji Long Kan

Harvested in 2023, this tea underwent three rounds of traditional charcoal roasting over the course of a year. Each roasting session lasted several hours, followed by months of rest to allow the tea to reabsorb moisture and develop depth.

This patient, artisanal process yields a tea with remarkable character. Its aroma is rich and layered, evoking sweet fruit notes of dried apricots, longan and red jujubes. At times, its smooth, lingering flavor even calls to mind the warmth and complexity of fine whiskey.
