I found this amazing drawing in Bangor Maine, likely not far from where it was made, as one of the boxes in this obsessively detailed attic reads “Bar Harbor Dress Shop.” I cannot imagine the number of hours that went in to detailing the wood grain on each and every beam, but sure hope it gave some satisfaction to the Frederick Porter who signed it on the floor board of the wallpapered room glimpsed downstairs. And as I have not been able to find much of anything about Porter, perhaps this was his life's masterpiece!

23 3/4" wide x 17 3/4" tall, black ink on stiff, high quality watercolor paper. Very good condition, with a bit of very minor foxing and one thin line of minor discoloration running vertically near the floor lamp at upper right. Shipped flat.
