Beautiful antique Japanese copper dish with a softly scalloped edge and a delicate embossed design of flowering plum branches. The front and reverse are both richly decorated with the same branch motif, with lovely detail and a warm patina throughout. The shape is subtly irregular, handmade rather than pressed, and there's a stamped maker's seal on the reverse. The surface shows old hammer marks and a naturally mellowed tone. A fine decorative object with real age and character—ideal for display or as a place to keep jewellery or keys.
