We have an URGENT mission coming to us from Shelby County (Memphis) TN.  A young mother’s abusive relationship has tragically culminated with a six week old infant being shaken violently by the father, he is in the ICU at Le Bonheur and expected to make it, but it’s touch and go right now.

The mother is unwilling to return to the apartment because she fears (rightfully) that her abuser will come back.  An order of protection is being worked on as we speak.

Mama has nowhere to go and doesn’t have the funds to do a deposit and move utilities.  We have an immediate need to raise $2,500 to cover first month’s rent, security deposit, and basic furniture so she doesn’t have to set foot in the old apartment.

She is sober and gainfully employed.

A new beginning requires a new approach and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to the most dangerous streets in America.

From getting narcotics traffickers off the streets, often  without ever involving law enforcement except in the most egregious of cases, to mitigating gang violence, to mentoring inner city youth in creative ways, we have a narrow focus around making sure the next generations raised on these streets are not raised BY the streets.

Your contribution of $10 helps us keep kiddos fed, $100 provides outreach and housing navigation, $1,000 helps provide transportation to single moms and kids getting an education, and on and on.
