HOB filters will add flow to your tank encouraging gas exchange while trapping suspended detritus for removal. The adjustable intake depth lets you create the perfect motion throughout the tank to sweep particulates into the filter for removal. With the addition of pre-seeded bio-media you can also instantly add biological filtration and prevent the buildup of toxic by-products. The generous media basket area also allows for the use of chemical filtration such as activated carbon which can be useful for removing medications or general water polishing, making this a very compact and versatile filtration solution for small to medium-sized aquariums.
