Meikle Toir 7 Year Old 2018 Limited Edition Single Pedro Ximenez Cask #11569 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2025) 70cl

Meikle Tòir’s single cask collection consists of two expressions aged in different types of Sherry casks: a distillery exclusive 2018 Pedro Ximénez Sherry hogshead and an online exclusive 2019 oloroso Sherry hogshead.

Master distiller Billy Walker chose the two single casks for their ‘exceptional nature’, capturing the distillery’s signature mainland peated spirit that’s produced using mainland peat sourced from St Fergus.

Walker said: “When selecting our first Meikle Tòir single casks, I was looking for whiskies that truly captured the bold, smoky character that defines the range, with added depth and complexity from exceptional sherry cask maturation. “These two casks stood out to me straight away. Both are a real reflection of the signature peated style we’ve been evolving at the distillery: full of robust sherry character, yet still true to the sweet and smoky mainland spirit of Meikle Tòir.

He added: “We have bottled them at natural strength, so what you are tasting is as close as it gets to sampling straight from the cask. No fuss – just great, honest whisky.” The 2018 vintage Meikle Tòir represents the brand’s inaugural distillery-exclusive single-cask release.

The GlenAllachie launched Meikle Tòir in 2023 to showcase its peated spirit, which was first produced at the distillery in 2018. The first peated whisky from the distillery was released in 2022
