GUDE ALPHA OLIVE LARGE BREAD KNIFE

You can cut all types of bread with this bread knife from the Güde Alpha Olive collection. This bread knife is enhanced with a 32 cm serrated blade and can cut all different types of bread, cake or pie. According to Güde's philosophy a bread knife needs to cut through bread and not squish it. To achieve this they developed their own version of a serrated knife: 'Güde-Wellenschliff'. The result is a successful improvement that is favoured by many.

The kitchen knives from the Güde Alpha collection are made from ice-hardened chromium-vanadium-molybdenum according to German tradition. The steel is hardened up to a hardness of approximately 56 HRC. According to Güde this leaves you with the perfect mix between hardness, sharpness retention, ability to sharpen and resistance to chipping. The forged knives are made and sharpened by hand.

The handles from the Alpha Olive collection are characterized by the stunning olive wood. This is wood that is very hard, also because Güde selected wood that is 100 to 200 years old. As such it can also handle moisture. We do, however, not recommend cleaning the knife in the dishwasher. This will affect both the blade and the handle.
