Kajsamoor Mast no 4

Made from a piece of Kajsamoor's mast after she sank at Charlestown Harbour during a storm in 2024. I was lucky enough to be offered a section of her mast to make some bowls from. 

The wood is Estonian grown Douglas Fir with its distinctive smell and striking grain, and the weathered surface from its life as a mast remaining around the rim, this bowl really gives a sense of its history and past life in service as the mast of Kajsamoor.

Finished with a blend of Loxkin hemp oil and beeswax, nourishing and protecting the wood.
