The IC-F8101 HF transceiver provides free voice, fax, email, and data communications with regional or worldwide coverage options. This device is user friendly and does not require advanced radio operator skills. Channels are automatically selected by the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) system while the Selcall (selective calling) feature provides selective calling, phone call, message call, position call, status call, emergency call, and channel test call options. The IC-F8101 also provides 125W of RF output and has an incorporated test function to check the transceivers condition.ALE (automatic link establishment) system automatically selects a suitable channel to establish a communication link; capabilities include ALE individual call, net call, sounding, and automatic message display (AMD).
