Daily Maintenance Checklist

A few minutes of prevention each day can save hours of troubleshooting later.

• Check the Catalyst Level: Never let the catalyst pump run dry. This causes "soft spots" in your resin that will not cure.

• Inspect the Internal Mix Chamber: At the end of every shift (or during long breaks), flush the gun thoroughly with a compatible solvent to prevent resin from hardening inside the head.

• Monitor Hose Integrity: Inspect the 50ft hose for any kinks, bulges, or leaks. High-pressure resin leaks can be hazardous and messy.

• Lubricate the Pump Packing: Apply a few drops of Throat Seal Liquid (TSL) to the resin pump shaft to prevent dried resin from damaging the seals.

1. Pressure Relief Procedure: Always bleed off the air and fluid pressure before performing any maintenance, changing tips, or disconnecting hoses.

2. Handle Catalyst with Care: MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) is highly reactive. Always wear chemical-resistant gloves and ANSI-approved eye protection.

   Warning: If catalyst contacts your skin or eyes, flush with water immediately and seek medical attention.

3. Grounding: Ensure the system is properly grounded to prevent static electricity buildup, which can ignite solvent vapors or resin fumes.

4. Ventilation: Use the system only in a well-ventilated spray booth or area with adequate airflow to manage VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) levels.
