The Atlona AT-OMNI-111 is a networked AV encoder for HDMI sources up to 4K/60 4:4:4 and HDR (High Dynamic Range), plus embedded audio and RS-232 or IR control pass-through. OmniStream is designed for high performance, flexible distribution of AV over standard, off-the-shelf Gigabit Ethernet switches in commercial audiovisual applications. The OMNI-111 encoder features the advanced VCx™ codec which delivers 4K/60 4:4:4 video from encode to decode, with artifact-free presentation of computer-generated content and fast-motion video, and ultra-low latency less than one frame. VCx offers high-efficiency coding with simultaneous 4K/60 4:4:4 and 1080p streaming through dual encoders and scaling engines built into the OMNI-111. This encoder is housed in a half-width rack enclosure with front-to-back air flow, and is ideal for high-density, compact installation in a centralized equipment location.
Easy to Configure, Simple to Manage
OmniStream AV over IP systems are remarkably easy to set up and manage – whether for a meeting room, retail establishment, auditorium, divisible room, or an entire university campus. Velocity™ Device Manager features automatic network device discovery, plus an intuitive web-based GUI that lets you configure virtual routing for AV, control, and data over the network – just as easily as you would with conventional AV matrix switching. Velocity Device Manager also streamlines and simplifies management of OmniStream systems through continuous system monitoring, notifications and alerts, event logging, multi-device configuration and backup, automated firmware updates, remote device control, and more.
Product Compatibility
The OMNI-111 is compatible with the OMNI-121 decoder.
Designed for Pro AV Integration
The OMNI-111 includes several features for optimizing integration and enhancing professional AV presentations. EDID and HDCP management features ensure reliable, consistent system operation and compatibility with source devices. EDID management includes the option to assign an EDID captured from a display at an OmniStream AV decoder. Aspect ratio controls are available to specify the presentation viewing format as desired by the end user. Additionally, OmniStream offers the option to overlay a logo image (PNG with transparent background) onto an AV presentation for corporate or institutional branding. A full-screen image can also be displayed, as a backup in an event of an interruption in an AV stream, or to display information between presentations.
OmniStream delivers fast switching between 4K/60 video streams from OmniStream encoders. Encoded video streams can be previewed in a Velocity™ touch panel GUI, or through the web GUI for an OmniStream decoder.
Multiview Window Processing
In addition to 4K/60 4:4:4 streaming, the OMNI-111 can deliver a secondary stream at a lower resolution up to HD 1080p. This stream is ideal for use with multiview window processing for the OMNI-121 decoder, which can ingest up to four streams from OMNI-111 encoders and display them simultaneously on a single screen.
Ethernet Link Testing
OmniStream AV over IP systems feature Ethernet link testing, a convenient feature for integrators and technicians to test integrity of the network infrastructure. Testing is initiated from the encoder web GUI, and performed between an encoder and decoders joined to it in a multicast group. Test results can be monitored from the encoder and decoder web GUI, avoiding the need to visually check for an image at each display location.
Applications
Enterprises and other large organizations – Maximize AV application flexibility by enabling content sharing within single meeting rooms, or corporate-wide broadcasting to every connected screen.
Corporate and university campuses with the need to distribute AV between buildings – OmniStream allows virtually unlimited AV system scope and scale. For very large, expansive or interconnected LANs, SMPTE-standard FEC (Forward Error Correction) ensures robust, reliable image presentation at every endpoint.
Applications in which any AV content or resource can be shared anywhere in the system – AV over IP technology removes the restrictions associated with interconnecting sources and displays through standard matrix switching architecture.
Meeting rooms and conference rooms – An IP network infrastructure makes it simple and efficient to design AV systems for small, large, and divisible meeting room configurations, and to centrally manage them throughout a facility.
Overflow rooms, such as in universities and conference centers – The OMNI-121 decoder with multiview processing, together with OMNI-111 encoders can be used to duplicate the AV presentation in the main venue, while also displaying a PIP (picture-in-picture) window of a camera shot for the presenter.
Houses of worship and performing arts centers – Ultra-low latency makes OmniStream ideal for IMAG applications with performers projected onto large screens, while ensuring synchronization with the live audio.
Atlona Academy Training and Certification
Atlona offers online education courses and certification for OmniStream. This is a great opportunity to learn about networked AV systems, the OmniStream product family, and the essential principles of data networking.
With certification, you’ll have the credibility, knowledge, and confidence to inform your customers on the ideal AV over IP system solutions for their requirements, and deliver quality sales and technical support whenever necessary.
Certification is required for all new Atlona dealers wanting to sell OmniStream AV over IP products.
