Sourced from a site at the corner of Highway 29 and Zinfandel Lane, the 2022 AE White Wine—a blend of 90% Sauvignon Vert and 10% Sémillon—was fermented and matured in a concrete egg. Scents of fig, pear and melon give the impression of a traditional Napa Sauvignon Blanc, just one executed at a very high level. Terroir
Amulet Estate farms select vineyard sites in the cooler pockets of Napa Valley, where maritime influences and elevation play a critical role in preserving freshness. The estate’s white program focuses on sites that benefit from morning fog and afternoon sun, allowing for slow, even ripening while maintaining natural acidity.

Soils vary from well-draining volcanic gravel to loamy clay, contributing both mineral lift and textural depth. The 2022 growing season in Napa was warm and compact, producing fruit of concentration and clarity, with balanced acidity retained through careful harvest timing.

Winemaking & Technical Notes
The Estate White is Sauvignon Blanc–based, complemented by small portions of Semillon and other Bordeaux white varieties. Fruit is hand harvested during the cool morning hours to preserve aromatics.

The wine undergoes several months of maturation prior to bottling, resulting in a white that balances vibrancy with layered structure.

Tasting Notes
The 2022 presents a brilliant pale gold hue. Aromatically, it opens with citrus blossom, Meyer lemon, and white peach layered over notes of grapefruit zest and fresh-cut herbs. Subtle hints of honeysuckle, wet stone, and light vanilla emerge with aeration.

On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a supple, textured mouthfeel. Bright citrus and stone fruit are supported by refreshing acidity, while gentle lees influence adds roundness and nuance. A faint mineral thread runs through the core, lending definition and length.

The finish is clean and persistent, balancing vibrant fruit with restrained oak and subtle savory undertones.

Food Pairing & Service
Serve chilled at 50–54°F. The wine pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, roasted chicken with herbs, goat cheese salads, or halibut with lemon butter. It also complements vegetable-forward dishes such as asparagus risotto or zucchini blossoms.

Its balance of freshness and texture allows it to move comfortably between lighter fare and moderately rich preparations.

Cellaring & Longevity
The 2022 Estate White is expressive in its youth yet structured enough to age gracefully for 7–10 years. The combination of acidity, lees influence, and measured oak provides the framework for development.

With time, primary citrus notes will evolve toward preserved lemon, honeyed pear, and subtle nutty complexity. Properly cellared, it will gain integration and depth while maintaining its underlying freshness through the early 2030s.
