• For several years now, Sertao has been the espresso we serve in our cafés in Frankfurt. We value its versatility and consistently good quality enormously. From harvest to harvest, the coffee inspires us with a great nutty-chocolatey body and a very nice sweetness that comes through excellently as an espresso and in milk drinks. As a rather classic espresso, but still roasted in a bright Specialty Coffee style, the Sertao is ideal to appeal to a broad customer group.
• Our coffee on the bar once again comes from the Sertao farm in Brazil. For several years now, we have been thrilled by the green coffees that Nazareth Dias Perreira and her children and grandchildren grow in the Carmo de Minas region. At an altitude of 1,100m-1,450m and an area of 330 hectares, our house coffee is grown. Nazareth's husband José Isidro first trained as a dentist and moved back home to Sertao Farm after his mother's untimely death. In 1949, Nazareth and he married and had four children. Francisco, Luiz Paulo, Glycia and Sandra all left the farm for their education at the request of their parents. But they all came back and have leading positions in the family business. Slowly, the sceptre is being passed on to Nazareth's grandchildren, who have so far gained experience in all parts of the coffee supply chain.
